June Glossybox

I was really looking forward to getting this box as I know it will be waiting for me when I got back from my business trip :) When I got home, even though it was late as night and I was absolutely shattered from my flight and train journey back, I couldn't wait to open it!

Glossybox
Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush
I was excited to see a make up brush being included with this month's box but this is a bit disappointing. It's really easy to apply products, also it feels soft on my face, it feels quite clumsy to use (if that makes sense!) It's a good size for the small pot of bronzer included in the box though.
HD Brows
HD Brows Precision Tweezers
I was excited to see this in the box as I need a new pair of tweezers! These are perfect to get the littlest hairs on your brows, absolutely love them! It's retailing at £19.95 which is a bit pricey for a pair of tweezers I would pay so I'm glad this is in my box :)
BM Beauty
Summer Warmth Bronzer
I wasn't too sure on this as I'm not a fan of powder products but when I tried it, it looked really nice! It felt really light on my face and it blends really well. I have also read on the Glossybox blog that it can be used on body and also on your nails :)
Caudalie
Eaux Fraiches (Zeste De Vigne)
This fragrance isn't for me! I was looking forward to spraying a refreshing scent to me but I found it quite strong and zesty. I love the packaging though as it's a good size for traveling, just wish I like the smell!
Vichy
Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick
Last but not the least, it's my favourite! I absolutely love this! As I haven't got very clear skin, this is perfect for me. You get 6 samples in different shades in this starter pack so you can pick the best colour that matches you before you buy the full product (retail at £19.00). The coverage is exactly what it says on the package, which covers minor to severe skin flaws, and it does last all day. I'm thinking of buying this in the full size but I've heard that the foundation of this is very good too so I might got for that instead :).

Overall, this is another good box. It's a shame that I didn't like the scent of the Caudalie spray as this would probably be my favourite box.
What do you all think of yours?

May Glossybox - 1st Birthday!

Wow I haven't blogged for a while!
Now I know this is verrryy late, but I don't want to miss blogging one of the boxes I received! I've been super busy lately so I do apologise for the lateness!

So it was Glossybox's first birthday, this was what I received in my box:

Noble Isle
Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel
This shower gel is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the smell of this, definitely a luxury shower gel! This is quite pricey for the full size bottle (£20) so I'm not sure if I'll be willing to pay that.
Lolita Lempicka
L'Eau en Blanc and Si Lolita
Personally I not a huge fan of these perfume, they are too strong and flowery for my liking but if you like that kinda thing then there's are made for you!
Weleda
Face Cream/ Body Milk
When I first got this out the box, I tried to read what it said then realised it was all in German! I tried this a few times but didn't really think much to this. It was nice on the skin but the smell made me not like it as much. To me it smelt a bit medicine-y, not sure if this is just me or not!
Unique
All in One Hair Treatment
This product claims to have 10 main benefits that the hair needs: repair for dry & damaged hair, shine & frizz control, heat protection, silkiness & smoothness, hair color protection/with UVA & UVB filters, easier brushing & ironing, incredible detangling, long-lasting hairstyle, split ends prevention and adds body. I think this is a brilliant product and I do agree with some of the claims that they made! Full size bottle of this is £13.99 which isn't bad at all, I would definitely buy this.
Let's Go Lashes
I was so pleased to see a pair of lashes in my box! I love a pair of good lashes as mine as so short, even with mascara on. I haven't tried this yet but I'm looking forward to trying it!

Overall, this is another great box, what did you think of your boxes?

Business trip to China

Sorry I've not been as active on my blogs, I've been mega busy!
Recent events includes: finishing off making bridesmaid dresses for my friends wedding, the wedding itself (which was the most amazing day ever and she looked absolutely beautiful, shed a few tears) and straight after I had to jet off to Shanghai for a business trip!!
I've finally got some spare time to catch up on my sleep, go on Facebook and youtube (as they are banned in China!) and just relax before going back to work after the Jubilee bank holidays!

Just thought I'll share with you some snaps I took while I was away :)

This was the sign in the bath, made me laugh! haha!

One of the hotel's that I stayed in, absolutely loved it!

One of the many bowls of noodles I had while I was there!

Hope everyone's having a good Jubilee bank holiday! :)

April Glossybox

Another month, another exciting Glossybox delivered to my door :)

So this month's edition is all about natural ingredients in products. I was super excited to try all the natural products in this box :)

Caudalie
Vinosource SOS Thrist-Quenching Serum

I was really excited to try this as, even though my skin can get quite oily, I do get annoying dry patches.  After trying this for a couple of nights though, I noticed that my skin started to get a bit itchy and red. It seemed like I started to have an allergic reaction to it! Darn it! My skin has gone back to normal now so I might give it another try to see if it is this product that's causing the problem!

Inika Costmetics
 Certified Organic Eyeliner

I've been wanting to get a brown eyeliner for a while now and I'm pleased to receive this in my glossybox. I absolutely love this, it applies so smoothy and lasts all day. The price for this is a bit steep for an eyeliner (£11.75) but I suppose you pay for the quality :)

Ayuuri
Natural Body Wash

I was amazed to see this big bottle of shower gel in my box! This is actually the full size bottle, priced at £4.95. To be honest, after using it for a week I don't feel like this is any different to the shower gels that I normally use. I do like it though but I was expecting it to be a bit more luxurious.

Figs & Rouge
Lip Balm

This 100% Pure, 100% Natural and 100% Organic Multipurpose balm is very hydrating and moisturising. I got the fragrance in 'Rambling Rose' which I quite like but I do feel that it's slightly overpowering after a while of it being on my lips. I have tried this on my hands as well and it works a treat!

Kai
Perfume Oil

I absolutely love this smell!! I've been wearing this since I received the box and it lasts all day as it's oil based. I would definitely buy this in full size! This perfume is infused with hints of Gardenia, white exotic flowers: Jasmine, Tuberose, Lily and Cucumber essential oils which gives a really fresh scent.

So what did you all get in your box and what are your thoughts?
Hope you're all having a good weekend :)

Tuesday 10 April 2012

I've been doing a bit of shopping....

So as everyone know....Boots is doing a 3 for 2 for all make up, hair accessories and haircare! So I thought this will be a good chance to buy some goodies and save some pennies :)

I have brought myself 2 more Revlon Lip Butters as I loved the first one I brought :) I also thought I will try out the new hype at the minute, which is the L'oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick.

I brought the Revlon Lip Butters in the colours 'Peach Parfait' and 'Strawberry Shortcake'. I absolutely love them both and how it's so moisturising when I put it on.

I brought the L'oreal Lipstick in 'Dating Coral'. I love the colour of this but it doesn't last long on my lips. I feel like it goes a bit powdery when I first apply it to my lips (if that makes sense to anyone!) but once it's on it looks great.

I think I do prefer the Revlon Lip Butters better :)

Something else I discovered recently is the Magnetized nail polish by 17. I can't believe I've only just know about this! I love the effect that it creates on the nails! I brought them in green and blue and tried the green straight away that night :)

And this is how it turned out :)

So if you don't know how this works, you simply paint a reasonable amount of the nail vanish onto the nail, hold the magnet (this is on top of the lid) over the wet nail for 10-15 secs and tadaaa! Wicked patterned nails done!

I also brought my first Models Own product!

Ok so the photo I took doesn't give the colour of the nail vanish justice, but it's a lovely purple blue colour with little sparkle in it! I can't even describe how pretty the colour is! I may have to put up another blog when I try this out on my nails just to let you all see it! haha!

Has anyone tried the magnetized nail vanish??
Hope you're all having a lovely week so far :)

March Glossbox - The Harrods Edition

It's that time of the month again where the postman delivers you that box of goodies! :)

This month is the special limited Harrods edition box! I was very excited to see what goodies was on its way and I was not disappointed!

So these are the products that I've received:

Valentino - Valentina Eau De Parfum

This is a sample size that I received of this perfume, when I first sprayed this on myself I wasn't a huge fame as it smells quite flowery and not what I'm into at all. As the day went by, I slowly started to like the smell on me. I've been wearing it for a week now and the smell is growing on me but I'm still not sure if I really like it as it reminds me slightly of what my nan would wear (sorry if I've offended you!) I'm still not a big fan of floral fragrances so I don't think I would buy the full size bottle.

Molton Brown - Vitalising Vitamin AB+C Bath and Shower

I absolutely love this! When I first tried this, the smell of it was amazing and it left my skin feeling cleansed and smelling great! I can't describe the smell but it was really fresh and citrusy. For the full size bottle it's £18 for 300ml which is quite expensive but I would consider buying this as a luxury shower gel! :)

SKII - Skin Signature

This is an anti-ageing moisturising cream which says to re-condition the skin, improve its resilience and leave the complexion smooth and radiant. As I'm only 24, I don't think this cream is for me but I thought I might as well start young! :) This cream is suitable for all skin type and it's fragrance free which some people would prefer. For me I don't mind if face creams have a fragrance or not, as long as it doesn't make my face too oily or make me break out it's fine for me! The cream is very lightweight and goes on my skin well, it doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky either. I checked to see how much the full size is and it's £127 for 80g! Think I might need to save some pennies if I want this face cream again!

Lancome - Hypnose Drama Mascara

I'm really pleased that I have received this to try out and it's not been a disappointment! I love the 'curvaceous' brush and it does cover all of my lashes well. My lashes are pretty short and I feel like this makes them look longer and fuller. The full price is £21 which is quite a lot of a mascara but I would consider paying that amount for this!

Clarins - Extra-firming Body Cream

Another product that I've very happy to have received as I've always wanted to try out Clarins. The cream is very thick in consistency but does not leave your skin feeling sticky. It makes my skin feel really soft and it smells absolutely gorgeous! I would buy this product in full size for sure! :)

Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil

I'm not too keen on this product. When I got it out the sachet and started to rub it on my face, the smell makes me think of cod liver oil. I don't mind this but after rinsing it off, my face felt quite oily and makes me want to wash my face more to wash it off (I suppose it is a cleansing 'oil' so it's suppose to be oily in some ways!) As my face is quite oily anyway, I don't think this is right for me. I like to feel that my greasy face is actually washed after a long day at work! Haha!

Overall I think this box is the best yet! I've read quite a few negative reviews on this month's box as it seems like most people want the Burberry Lipstick, but for me I'm happy to received what I got. Of course you're going to get something you love and others you're not to keen on, but that's what it's about!

So what do you think of what you've received? Did you like the products you've got?

Cutie Cupcakes :)

So I thought I'll show you guys something a bit random today.....

How adorable is this clock and hanger!!! :) I absolutely love them! I got this from my wonderful friend for my birthday on Monday and I only had time to put it up in my room :) she knows how much I like cakes and this present is perfect!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! :)

Sparkly nail vanish! :)

So I thought I would share with you all this amazing glittery nail vanish that I found in Accessorize!

I don't normally buy/look at nail vanishes in Accessorize, but after watching Louise (Sprinkleofglitter) on youtube talking about the new 3D nail vanishes I had to go and investigate myself :)
I didn't actually buy the new '3D' nail vanish but I did find this colour that I really like to try out first!

I really like the fact that after having only one coat of this polish on, my nail was already full of glitter! It dries really quick and you would only need 2 coats (3 tops) to completely cover your nail in glitter!

A few days after, I was in town so I thought I'll give Accessorize a quick visit and brought myself the 3D Glitter Polish in Magic :). It's a really nice purple and I can't wait to try it on!

I have also been browsing on the internet for the new Revlon Lip Butter that everyone is raving about on Youtube. As it's still not out in the UK until March, I went on Ebay and brought one! :)

I brought the colour 'Berry Smoothie' and it looks really nice for everyday. I love that it's like a lipstick but it doesn't dry out your lips at all! Can't wait until it's out in the UK so I can try out more colours :)

February Glossybox

So I have received my February Glossybox a few days ago and I was again as excited to open it as the first one that I received last month!

This is what I've got in my box:

Duwop Venom Gloss

I really like this lip gloss as it gives a tingling feeling on your lips and making them feel 'plump'. It also has a sweet scent and gives your lips a nice gloss. It is quite pricey if you buy it in full size (£16) so I'm not sure if I will pay that much to buy it.

Dr. Bronner Lavender Hand Sanitiser

This liquid form hand sanitizer is different from the hand gel that I use, the size of the product is the full size that you can buy (£3.99) and it is very handy to keep in your bag. I love the smell of lavender so I really like this as sometimes the alcohol smell in hand gels as not so nice! The only thing I'll say is that the smell of lavender is quite strong so if you're not a fan of this scent you might not like it.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm

This product is said to smooth wavy, curly or unruly hair and control fizz. I've tried this out once and it does smooth out my ends pretty well but I may have put too much on as I've noticed some of my hairs looks like its still damp. I will try it again and use less of it! lol!

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow

This product is an award winning pure mineral eyeshadow. Cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. I really like this sparkly purple eyeshadows but I'm not a big fan of sparkly eyeshadows on me, I don't think it looks that flattering on me. I will give it a try though and see if it changes my option!

Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower Gel

This shower gel smells really zingy and smells like it will really wake you up having a shower first thing in the morning. I've tried this the other day and I have to say I'm not a fan. It makes my skin feel a bit dry and as I have dry skin, I don't think it helps. I do feel like it's a good product if you have normal skin type as it does give you a "awake" feeling but I'm afraid it's not for me.

I like a few products that I've got in this month's Glossybox but I am a bit disappointed that I don't love all the products but I will look forward to what I get for next month! :)
